It took far too long to get to this post. Here's the bathroom - before and after.
Not a lot else going on... just measuring up the kitchen so I can get an estimate for what granite will run in there. I'd like to get going on that as soon as possible because it'll take time to get in. It's the last major expense of the renovation and I'll be glad when it's behind us.

The bathroom looks great. It's funny how a few finish upgrades can have such a dramatic impact. Good job! Especially like the floor tiles.
ReplyDeleteThanks! The difference between countertops and mirror / no countertops and mirror was a lot bigger than I thought. I'm sure the kitchen will be like that. Already discovered this evening that there's nowhere to put hot stuff when it comes out of the oven while trying not to get burned by what I just cooked!
ReplyDeletecan't edit but forgot... the floor was about the hardest part of the project. Between scratching my head while figuring out where in the pattern I am and the fact that marble sometimes fractures while being cut for no reason other than it has a vein it was a huge pain. Totally worth it though; natural stone has a depth that can't be reproduced by ceramic.
